We are a grassroots, nonpartisan, pro-democracy, volunteer-driven, action-oriented group.

Defend and advance democracy through peaceful community action

Nonviolence is woven into our mission, others are soon to be defined (join us!)

Membership requirements:

None. This is a volunteer group, so nothing is “required” of our members. We do, however, ask everyone to become actively involved. Participation is intrinsic to democracy.

Related membership goals:

• 200 FoD members march with Blackberry Pie in 2026 Bohemia Mining Days Parade

• 250 Active FoD members by 7/15/26

Active members show up for democracy through:

• Participation in rallies or protests

• Committee participation (see below)

• Core group meeting participation (Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30 at the ROP 632 E. Main St.)

• Any or all of the above
